Some new illustrations in a special video for you!

I have worked all week on these drawings + vid; I hope some of you like it. It’s 4k resolution, 60 frames per second.

Not all computers will be able to play it the full quality… but I’ve often noticed that older videos look old because of the quality, not the content. So I wanted to future-proof it a bit.

I modified an after effects template by Stranger media, changing colour, typography, scale, with some additional panning effects to make it look a bit more like a jigsaw coming together.

My illustration portfolio

So I decided to re-upload my illustration portfolio, this time to Vimeo. I find that Vimeo has better overall quality and presentation that Youtube, has much less intrusive ads and also allows me to replace videos. Also, most of Vimeo’s actual content is generally of a higher standard than Youtube’s.

So I have the redone the first two videos in 1920 x 1080 pixels, with 60 frames per second and 24 bit colour. This makes the presentation look better + smoother.

All my newer portfolio videos will be done in 3840 x 2160 (4k) resolution. I’d like to do them in 60fps too, but I’m currently having trouble encoding the MP4 files. One other 4k 60fps video that I produced earlier this week was only 42 seconds long and yielded a 61 gigabyte AVI file! That is just over half as much space as everything else on my whole laptop.

That’s it from me today!

My illustration portfolio

I hope you like this video presentation of some of my best work. I edited this today with Adobe After Effects. I have never used that program before, so even though I bought a template, it still took literally hours to do.

BOOK REVIEW: Fontology

This is my first go at split screen picture in picture. And I am new to Adobe Premiere Pro too. So apologies if the video is not top-notch quality. I think I am going to try again though with another book review.

If you still want to buy it, help me out and purchase it through this link:
